"Friends? You have made a mistake. We are not friends." Devlin has been growing increasingly distant and moody and grumpy since his parents' death when he was young. At this point, after killing his uncle, he wears a permanent face of srs bsns which is something that would really only be potentially perceived as something vaguely friendly by his family. Family being the Dark Brotherhood. Ashe seems to view himself as hard and heartless. This isn't really true though. He's just furrowed with loss and sincerity and shrouded and marinating in darkness and death and mystery. He doesn't mingle with the masses because doing anything public or noticable goes against his implanted logic and training and even more so his current occupation, which demands anonymity and public invisibility. But if he did mingle and attempt socializing he would probably find himself getting to know more types of people and getting along with others unexpectedly and so he would be less inclined towards his "LIKE BLOODY HELL DO I NEED PEOPLE I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS BAH BLOODY HUMBUG" attitude. Feel free to try to get past his facade or under his skin. He appreciates emotionally strong, idealistically resolute and clever people. He values sincerity and a strong belief in something - be it a cause, a god, a vendetta - he isn't picky. He will admire you for it. But most likely, unless you are in the Thieves' Guild or Dark Brotherhood or a Forsworn who's path he might cross, you will never see Devlin - and if you do it would be right before he slits your throat.
HE WILL HATE ALL STORMCLOAKS AND PROBABLY PRACTICE AND WORK OUT BY POUNCING THE STRAGGLING ONES AND HACKING UP THEIR BODIES TO CONSTRUE IN DISTURBING RENDITIONS OF ART AMONG TREES OR THEIR CAMPS OR WHATNOT IN HOPES OF FUCKING WITH ANY OF THEIR ALLIES WHO MIGHT PASS BY. READ HIS APP FOR WHY. HE DISLIKES NORDS BECAUSE OF THOSE RACIST NORDS THAT HAVE GIVEN BRETONS TROUBLE THROUGHOUT HISTORY. BUT HIS UNCLE WAS ONE AND NOW THAT HE FEELS GUILTY IN REGARDS TO HIS UNCLE HE WILL NOT HATE YOU ON PRINCIPAL, BUT HE PROBABLY WON'T GET ALONG WITH YOU. AND IF YOU ARE ALLIGNED IN WHATEVER WAY OR JUST BEING INSUFFERABLY NICE AND SOCIAL TOWARDS HIM FOR SOME REASON AND YOU ARE A NORD HE WILL BE POLITE AND CIVIL, BUT BEGRUDGINGLY SO. HE HAS A FASCINATION, LOVE, AND RESPECT FOR NON-HUMAN RACES, ALTHOUGH THE ATTITUDE OF THE DUNMER IRRITATES HIM, AND HE FINDS THEM SORT OF PRETENTIOUS AND HARD TO TRUST. KAHJIIT AND ARGONIANS HE ADORES. REDGUARDS HE IS INDIFFERENT TOWARDS. IMPERIALS AS A RACE HE IS MORE OR LESS INDIFFERENT, HOWEVER, IF THEY ARE IMPERIAL IN THE POLITICAL SENSE AS WELL HE WILL LOOK DOWN ON THEM. JUST BECAUSE HE DOESN'T LIKE THE STORMCLOAKS DO NOT THINK HE ENJOYS HOW THE IMPERIALS ALLOW THE DUNMER AND OTHERS TO RAPE THE CITIZENS OF SKYRIM'S RIGHT TO CHOSE THEIR OWN PATHS AND WHAT THEY CAN AND CANNOT WORSHIP AND THE DIRECTION OF THE FUTURE OF THEIR OWN LAND. MOSTLY HE'S JUST GOT ISSUES WITH AUTHORITY. HE WILL ALWAYS LEND AIDE TO THIEVES AND ASSASSINS AND THE LIKE. MAGIC INTRIGUES HIM AND HE ADMIRES AND RESPECTS MAGICIANS AND ALCHEMISTS. REGARDING SUPERNATURAL SPECIES HE SEES THEM AS NORMAL AND IS FRIENDLY TOWARDS THEM, BEING AS THAT HE WAS BASICALLY RAISED IN THE SHADOWS, HE IS NO STRANGERS TO VAMPIRES AND THE LIKE. IF YOU ARE A HERO-TYPE AND MORALLY RIGHTEOUS YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE HIM VOMIT. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH DAEDRA WORSHIP HE WILL PLOT YOUR DEMISE, THOUGH HE CLAIMS TO HAVE GIVEN UP HIS DREAMS OF BEING FORSWORN AS WELL AS HIS WORSHIP OF DAEDRA. SO BASICALLY VIGILANTS OF STENDARR ARE SPRINKLED IN HIS BREAKFAST CEREAL HE PREFERS THE COMPANY OF YOUNGER PEOPLE AND WOMEN THAN THAT OF MEN OR ELDERS.
On a technical level, Ashe is very open. He doesn't have a gender preference, and as long as you don't fit in with the variety of groups he dislikes or hates, you can wheedle your way into this category. I listed him as pansexual because while he doesn't go get down and dirty with horses and wolves, he is open to affairs with Argonians and has a strong and inexplicable attraction to Khajiit. That said, on a personal level, you will never be good enough and probably either have too many undesirable traits or not enough alluring and attractive traits to actually capture his interest. If you manage to, it is doubtful you will keep it. Devlin is nearly impossible to satisfy and so he doesn't go looking for relationships. He does as needed seek out sex because let's be realistic here. But don't be discouraged. I'm just saying that neither him nor I believe there is the right kind of person for him to be serious about. But you can try and plot things because he does get around, in his own subtle ways.

both being a part of the dark brotherhood, they would be like family. taros is quite blood thirsty and basically is in for the gold and a way to control his urges of killing. outside of the brotherhood he lives a totally normal life in solitude with his wife and poses as a travelling merchant. however, when he is with the brotherhood, he is reserved and calm, almost emotionless. i guess you could say he is kind of like dexter morgan. lol! but yes! i see these two seeing eye to eye and getting along at least decently. hmmm, well dredhwen basically went on a rampage and went against sithis and thus got kicked out of the brotherhood. she now serves molag bal and goes around taking possible contracts from the brotherhood. i'd say enemies? xD past respect, possibly? i don't know whether to make these two mutual respect or hardcore enemies. axel is a mindless bandit and brute - he only cares for gold as well as his crew, even then he doesn't mind sacrificing one or two members. however, he does have high respect for the brotherhood, finding what they do smart, but he knows he would never be stealth about his killings. he loves leaving a huge bloody mess behind. anyways, let me know if any of these are to your liking!

first of all, taros is really cool, and i love tom hardy. secondly, yes, they would probably have an excellent working relationship and respect towards each other and trust in each others intentions and competency. yes, yes. but i don't think devlin appreciates that taros has a life outside the brotherhood, and that he doesn't live in with them in their sanctuary as his first home. mostly i think devlin's issue with be that taros is married and has a second life because that feels foolish and against the rules to him. but he keeps his mouth shut about it because he isn't stupid and also because he isn't the one running the brotherhood. if this, what devlin would call taros' "reckless behavior" ever leads to someone who isn't supposed to finding out about their hideout he will have a deadly fit, just so you know. that is all. you know, i think this might actually work out different than you first thought. a part of devlin would much rather slaughter orc-style because it's annoying being constrained and sometimes it is sadistically therapeutic. so he'd sympathize. he certainly gets having problems with following sithis, because despite his insistence that he follows only the god of death now, in truth, he still is attached to his daedric gods and has never fully let go of wanting to join the forsworn. he still aides them in secret when he can - because as far as he knows, when he was forced to kill a tribe of them, he didn't know they were forsworn and they didn't know who he was and theoretically none of them lived to give a description of him. but anyways, i think he'd have respected dred while she was with them and pretend to have the chastising view that the others have, but should he encounter her she will notice a very different disposition. the only issue he'd truly have with her is his natural mistrust of the dark elves. but i think her having been a sister would have eliminated that. he does judge overall on an individual basis (unless you're a stormcloak, hah). i think there would certainly be respect of axel's vicious reputation, and competency. i don't think devlin will favor the brutish side if it is more thoughtless than logical. at least logical in the sense that he has an overall reason for being a "mindless savage" and that he at least has a mind for tactics and dealings and overall increasing his wealth and status. but it seems like he is capable of conversation and plotting and the like, so i don't think devlin would look down on him too much. he certainly won't think less of him for being an orc - if anything that works in his favor and he is prejudiced against humans. they are very opposite but have enough of the important things in common that i think it would be very fun if they worked together in some situation. i can't think but...yes. if you have anything in mind let me know. you're about to kill axel though, so i'm not sure how much relation we can establish. xD hail, paarthurnax!

devlin ashe ; vex - welp, vex here is in the thieves guild (obvs, she's canon). since their societies are pretty much allies, and she has a few buds within the dark brotherhood, they've probably met on more than one occasion. i'm not actually too sure what she'd make of him, which is weird, because vex is normally very polarized. i think she'd admire him to some extent, but she'd also mistrust him a ton, because it's in her nature. generally, though, i think she'd just be her snarky, arrogant self, while trying to ignore the fact that he is rather attractive in his way. >> tossing them together might be fun, though?
finarfin - is my little bosmer assassin. basically, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and got recruited to the dark brotherhood after being mistakenly thought for being responsible for his own brother's slaughter. i didn't explain that very well, but yeah. anyway, he's a part of the db, but he mostly keeps his head down, training extensively to feel like he's actually earned his place. he's yet to fulfill his first contract, so he's very much a n00b. ANYWAY, after all that rambling on my part, i think he'd find devlin intimidating. along with most of the db's members. >>
aaaaand, i don't really have anything else. ;~~; but if you had any other ideas for my characters, let me know. :D you know where to find them~

indie stormborn ; vex - that sounds right to me, and i like the idea of tossing them together. maybe they have to work together and she's like "i don't need you, i'm a full member and more than capable." and he'll be like "i was a member and they don't want this fucked up so shut up and deal with it. the less you talk the happier we will both be." and they can have this act like they hate each others guts the whole time but secretly admire each other and maybe have some sexual tension idk. up to you. evil!bond has his ways...though if she'd have a problem with the fact that he killed his uncle and that was why he left from being a full member of the guild (his uncle was prominent in the guild in his time) there could be problems. i don't think many knew what happened then and i doubt many know anything now but you never know.
finarfin - how cute. perhaps he needs a bit of tutelage. i can see astrid asking/forcing fin on dev and dev being like -sigh- "do i HAVE to?" honestly i think it would be kinda funny if he has to get trained and shadow dev for a bit. could be fun. i dunno. dev's really not that bad of a guy, and fin's clearly bullshit confidence is endearing and likely to gain some un-shown but existent sympathy from devlin. maybe someday they could even become friends. :'D dev says he shouldn't get his hopes up. xD
i remember you had other chars that caught my attention too but i am lazy and there were a lot. i'll go stalk your page sometime if i have stuff i want to toss at other chars. BUT WHAT DO YOU THINK FOR THIS? steal ALL the codes!

devlin ashe ; vex - ooh, yes. them working together would be great! is it bad i forgot devlin was in the thieves guild previously? #youknowit'slatewhen anyway, yes. perfect. i like the idea of sexual tension between them, but it'd probably only make vex mistrust him more. but the fact she's had a past with one of the other assassins, and is currently in complete denial about her feelings for another would probably stop anything ever coming of it. BUT IT SHALL BE FUN, ANYWAY, BECAUSE REASONZ. as for dev having killed his uncle, it depends when that actually happened. vex has only been in the guild eight years, so if it was before her time, no doubt she's clueless about it. i.. don't really have anything else to say, except yay! fun. :D
finarfin - i like this. o; fin's going to have a mentor-like relationship with taros, but another mentor could never hurt. plus, there's no beating learning how to assassinate from evil!bond. ^^ fin'd be wary of him, certainly, but he'd listen to what dev has to say and do exactly as he's told. and future friends-or-something-similar sounds good to moi. c:
