places that once thrived and bustled with life have now crumbled to nothingness and have become lost in time. most are now homes to draugrs and deathlords.

the roads that connect the major cities, towns and other locations of skyrim.

different types of camps are set up around skyrim, some are used by simple folk, like fishermen or hunters. But others are used by bandits or forsworn, so be wary.

most forts are overrun with either bandits, archmages or forsworn. all in all, forts are usually something that usual civilians of skyrim stay away.

there are only four strongholds that are in skyrim, all of them only holding orcs. it is almost impossible to get it, if you are not of orc race. the strongholds are as follows: dushnikh yal, largashbur, mor khazgur and narzulbur.

are dotted around skyrim and generally contain several veins of some specific type of ore.

usually are dangerous and treacherous. not many go through them, even though it may make things easier when getting from one town to the next.

are scattered throughout skyrim and are home to the divines (including Talos), daedric shrines are included. they are often accompanied by a large statue, although the shrines themselves are obelisks or sculptures small enough to fit on table tops.

there are only four ponds and groves in skyrim and are listed as follows: clearpine pond, clearspring tarn, evergreen grove and mara's eye pond.

the general wilderness that coats skyrim, filled with beasts such a sabers and bears, some elk and foxes. it's riddled with different flowers and berries, lots used for alchemy.

there are shipwrecks scattered around the seas, lakes and rivers of skyrim. many are taken over by bandits or archmages.

there are random farms and mills scattered around skyrim. most only hold one farm house with one crop or one millhouse with one mill. the residences are usually only home to one family.

there are docks in every major city around skyrim, but only one lighthouse. the lighthouse is located in solitude, the province's capital.

a major city in eastmarch, located near the dunmeth pass to morrowind in northeastern skyrim. lying near the coast on the very northern tip of eastmarch, windhelm is an extremely cold city and frequently experiences blizzards. the main gate can only be accessed by crossing a long stone bridge over the white river.

a major city located in the reach, near the border of high rock. it is housed in an ancient dwemer city, giving it architecture noticeably different from most cities in skyrim. much of the city is carved into the rock face which surrounds it.

is a major city located in the southeastern corner of the rift and is home to the thieves guild, who inhabit the sewers beneath the city.

is a major city located in the center of skyrim, and near the throat of the world. it is home to the companions.

is a city located along the northern coast of skyrim, within the pale. it is home to a number of fishermen and miners, and a legion camp is located near the city in response to rebel raids in the area.

is a city in falkreath hold. its most distinguishing feature is its large cemetery that houses generations of the dead from all over skyrim. many shops in town derive their names from their close proximity to so much death.

is the capital of hjaalmarch, although it is a fairly small, humble town of little economic or strategic importance. sitting on the southern edge of a marsh, dry ground can be hard to come by in morthal. it is often shrouded in a thick fog, and ominous twisted trees grow from the surrounding marsh, giving it a foreboding appearance to approaching travelers.

is a town located within falkreath hold, near the border to cyrodiil.

is a small milling town located at the base of the throat of the world. pilgrims and travelers often pass through the town on their way up the 7000 steps to high hrothgar.

is a mining town in the reach. aside form markarth, it is the main source of mining in skyrim and is owned by one man.

is a medium-sized town northeast of helgen. it is located at the foot of the throat of the world, on the banks of the white river.

you can talk about whatever the fuck you want in here. this is also where you put your absences, which is important. this is especially when an activity check is going down and you aren't gunna be here.
