[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 444px; background-image: url(http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t264/nadzylala/TEMPLATES/LIGHTBKGBOYS.png); border-top: #aeae7a solid 10px; border-bottom: #aeae7a solid 10px; width: 457px; padding-top: 10; padding-bottom: 10;] mercer frey forty-one, breton, guild master of the thieves guild charming, charismatic, deceptive, greedy, sarcastic, suave mercer frey, the guild master of the thieves guild. to most, he's charming, charismatic, and suave; a natural leader and an exceptional thief. while that's all correct for the most part, it's only half of who mercer is. perhaps more than most thieves, frey is extremely deceptive and greedy, even around those "closest" to him. truth is, mercer doesn't measure closeness by how good of a friend someone is, he measures it simply in skill and talent. he keeps those most useful (and potentially dangerous) close at hand, and they're the ones he calls friends. in truth, however, mercer's "friendship" usually lasts only as long as someone's usefulness, so it goes without saying that he doesn't have many real friends. enemies, on the other hand, are plentiful. from people he's conned or stolen from to former friends he's bled dry or, in at least one case, framed for murder, there are numerous people both in and out of skyrim who wouldn't mind seeing mercer jailed or even dead. meanwhile, mercer himself regards just about everyone as a potential enemy. with that kind of outlook, it could be assumed that lovers are few and far between for mercer frey. but that isn't entirely accurate. in fact, frey has had plenty of lovers - relationships, however, are another story entirely. that's not to say that he hasn't had any at all, but it's definitely been a while since his last *real" relationship. and he isn't exactly looking for any, either, as his thoughts on love and relationships are quite similar to his thoughts on friends; they'll keep you around just long enough to stab you in the back and rob you blind. granted, that could always change, given the right woman. as of yet, however, he hasn't quite found one. now that (you think) you know mercer frey - feel free to leave some plots! open to just about anything, so :D .......................

So I don't really have any ideas, but Sapphire has been a part of the guild for like thirteen years now. They need some sort of something. Maybe they respect each other, but aren't really friendly. Maybe there's mutual trust. Maybe they don't like each other, but they know the other will get the job done. I dunno. Do you have any ideas? I'm bad at this. =/

Hm. Well, I could see them respecting each other and trusting one another when it comes to getting the job done, but not necessarily liking each other. In fact, if anything, I could see Mercer disliking her far more than usual XD Her snappy/snarky/sarcastic attitude is something he probably wouldn't appreciate, as he's pretty high on being respected and would likely see that as a show of disrespect.

Honestly don't have any actual *ideas* at the moment, though... Just vague stuff like that xD

vex - mercer frey <3 i can see vex trusting and respecting him to no end. she'd look up to him, aspire to impress him constantly.. basically, i'm seeing him as a kind of father figure to her, especially if he happened to take her under his wing when vex first joined the guild. though vex wouldn't show much fondness towards him openly, she'd value his opinions and stuff over all else. she's going to want to kill him when/if she finds out he's betrayed them all, though. vex doesn't take well to being duped. >>

being the intuitive thing she is, i have a feeling she might suspect something was up with frey.
however, as he's the guildmaster, she trusts him, because you know, you don't just become guildmaster for nothing.

Morrigan and Mercer
SGAJDHAJSJ SO MUCH POTENTIAL HERE, OMG. Morrigan and Mercer need to be friends that are both planning on destroying one another. Morrigan was a partner with the Guild even before Gallus and she generally liked both Gallus and Karliah, and even if she doesn't know everything that occurred between the three Nightingales, she doesn't believe that Karliah killed Gallus. She's suspicious of Mercer, to the point where she probably has her own spies keeping a trained eye on him politically and financially. But at the same time, she employs the Guild and provides invaluable resources whenever she can. The relationship would be one of respect when in front of others, but behind closed doors, they're both plotting to dispose of one another. Morrigan for 'whatever' happened to Gallus because she rather liked him, and perhaps Mercer's getting paranoid about her. In a 'she knows...' sort of way, but he's not sure if she really actually does, or if she's bluffing in order to get him to admit to something. OMG, SEE? WE COULD DO GREAT THINGS WITH THESE TWO.

I've got other characters, but I don't really see how any of them would really interact with Mercer. So yeah. lol.

MERCER & SAPPHIRE; That sounds great! Would definitely be some amusing/entertaining bickering there, I'd think XD Did you have any ideas as far as what kind of job they could be working on?

MERCER & VEX; I could see Frey having taken her under his wing, sure! As such, I think he'd have somewhat of a soft spot for her, to a degree. Something along the lines of him being exceptionally proud that she's done well under his guidance, or something like that. Until/unless she finds out what he's been up to and tries to kill him, of course xD

MERCER & EL; Suspicion <3 Could definitely do with some suspicion inside the Guild, I think. Don't know if she'd trust him to the point of just shrugging off her suspicions, but if not, I think it would be interesting if she were to snoop around or something to see what Frey was up to. He wouldn't admit to anything, of course, but it would be pretty cool to have someone on the inside kind of investigating him! If that works for you, of course.

MERCER & MORRIGAN; Wow XD I like that. A lot. Mercer would definitely want to be rid of her if there was any sign that she knew anything, since he's been holding everything together for way too long to let it all fall apart now. And he'd be much more determined about it if she were to try to have him disposed of first xD I don't think he'd take too kindly to that.

vex - welp, i don't think she would find out until/if we play through the thieves guild quest line on ze site, so i think they'd be fine until then. xD i'd love to thread them at some point, if you're up for it. :D

sooo, allimir is my vampire~ he's the dark brotherhood's second in command, and he's got a bit of an infatuation with vex. aaaanyways. he hates mercer. but allimir doesn't take his hate out in violent ways, not unless he has to. usually, he's a snarky son of a bitch, and whenever he'd have to do business with the thieves guild, i can imagine allimir constantly having the same introduction method with mercer; really insulting. so these two'll obviously be enemies, but because of their positions in their guilds, they're forced to leave each other unmarked. although, allimir'll push mercer quite a bit, hoping to get some sort of rise that makes mercer reach for his dagger. i can't reaaally think of anything besides that to add, though D:

rune & mercer

well, since rune was more or less recruited by brynjoff, but i'd imagine mercer would've had the final say in it~ but since rune's been with the thieves guild for a while, i doubt they'd really have any issues. rune would stay out of his way, and do whatever he was asked. annnd i can't think of anything else to add onto here for them, haha. if you have any ideas, let me knooow.

ashira & mercer

ashira's a khajiit mercenary, who's based her home in riften. she's been within riften for a while, actually; she grew up in its orphanage, left riften when she turned sixteen to avenge her family, and then returned after that was all done and sorted. but because she's a mercenary, she'll be coming into a lot of rare and very wealthy possessions, so i'm hoping that she could've made a deal with mercer in order to use tonilia's fencing to everyone's advantage. she could also help with some of the guild's outter jobs; stuff he doesn't want to send his family out to do, because there might be a big chance they wont come back. or just because he doesn't want to taint their guild's name even further with something. she'd be good for anything, really c:

aleks & mercer .

i'm not sure how these two will work, but i always saw aleks being a tad bit afraid of mercer. aleks is a good thief for being so young, but he still makes mistakes; he would much rather go to brynjolf for those mistakes than mercer. so, all in all there is respect but initmidation as well. honestly, aleks would like to get to know mercer more, just simply because brynjolf speaks so highly of him. i don't know, let me know.

taros & mercer .

enemies for sure! i don't think taros likes the vibe he gets from mercer, even though he is friends with a few people from the thieves guild. however, when it comes down to the leader of the guild himself, not so much.

constance & mercer .

being a part of the brothel that is in partnership with the thieves guild, constance has at least seen mercer around. i don't think she would ever try to get to know him, just simply because she diesn't have much room for new 'clients'. however, i think if they did meet, constance would be terrified of him. haha.
