[atrb=border,0,true] Arnbjorn of the Dark Brotherhood thirty years old; nord; werewolf; assassin in the dark brotherhood; ex-companion; married to Astrid; all-around jerk with a surprisingly sharp wit;;; no one should expect anything akin to a friendly first meeting with Arnbjorn. the easily offended need not apply for any sort of companionship with him outside of a simple acquaintance. even those with tougher skin don't become too buddy-buddy with him. they can only really earn his respect and trust. Arnbjorn doesn't really go picking out enemies, surprisingly. still, he can be enough of a talker to merit being around and can drop a decent dry joke here and there. if nothing else, he's interesting. don't bother with any sort of romance, though. his eyes focus solely on Astrid. and he hates annoying people. easy enough to remember, right?
coulson pike twenty-one years old; breton; nord ancestry; mage; makes it on his own; history nut; tactician; wary of people but treats the good ones well;;; due to a family situation that made him realize the suddenness of betrayals of trust, Cole has spent the majority of his young adult life with a whole load of acquaintances and not a whole lot of people he can rely on. for a pretty friendly guy with some wit and a capable way with words, that might come as a surprise. he does, though, do what he can do be cordial to people at arm's length. approach him, and he'll talk. heck, might help out if he thinks he should. Cole's guard does drop a little around women, unfortunately for him, but typically he's avoided getting too tied up in...issues with the opposite sex. due to the manner of his lifestyle, Cole hasn't made too many enemies, but he tends to loathe those who abuse authority over others and has a sharp sense of justice. (it should be mentioned, too, he'll be eventually joining some of those that will become blades.)
captain senex gallus thirty-one years old; imperial; ship captain; bane of pirates; something of a pirate himself; literally in bed with the imperials; looks for his own gain and recognition;;; the easiest ways to become a friend of Senex Gallus is to either be a member of his crew, be an intelligent and beautiful woman, or play into his hand. questions obviously arrive as to how much of a friend Gallus will allow anyone to be, considering he thinks quite highly of himself and doesn't tend to play fair with much of anyone. put coin in his hand, though, and he'll be loyal until he's spent it. he does, however, have his admirers and allies. among them are the female imperial assigned to his ship as a first mate whom he's said to be unnervingly close with. one can only assume if it's a genuine attraction or not. Gallus' enemies typically range in the realm of pirates, stormcloaks, or generally anyone who stands in his way of his taking the next step as a ship captain. be warned - dealing with Gallus is a tricky game in all facets.
brynjolf twenty-eight years old; nord; key member of the thieves guild (no pun intended); smooth talker; smooth thinker; possesses a sense of justice in spite of his criminal career;;; when it comes to making oneself seem to have all the appealing offers and answers, Brynjolf has pretty much no peer. one of the more public individuals in the thieves guild, he has the ability to talk and shield his intentions...or make them charmingly obvious. Brynjolf isn't the most complicated guy around. if you've got a love for gold, he'll like you quite a bit. if you don't care, he'll accept it and move on. if you get in his way, he'll kindly move you. just don't screw with him or the rest of the guild and he won't be tempted to cut you down. both a gentleman and a scoundrel, Brynjolf can get along with pretty much anyone who isn't simply a miserable individual.
fjoldir twenty-six years old; nord; whiterun guard; serves dragonsreach; always been poor as a smith's son; big guy with a pretty big heart;;; chances are that Fjoldir will get along with a good eighty percent of the people he meets. don't expect him to go chatting up the entire world or anything of the sort, but he's got a manner that makes him naturally cohesive with people, especially people who are rather down-to-earth as he is even if they're on a completely different social level. having been, ever since his childhood, big enough to be a bully, fjoldir has instead chosen to look out for others. that will all go down the drain when it comes to people he perceives as genuinely bad. among these would be the violently selfish or those who pick on the little guy only because they can. Fjoldir has not a single issue in throttling those that fall into such categories for him. fjoldir also has not a bit of experience in romance outside of what he's seen from others, making his occasional attempts at speaking to women interesting, at best.
asgeir the young twenty years old; nord; jarl of dawnstar; wavering opinions on the war; in over his head at times; honest and fairly indifferent to his power;;; Asgeir is the type of guy whom you can't hate unless you have political views. then you can find every reason to pick at him over little tiny things, because as a jarl of dawnstar, he's still very much coming into his own and...hasn't gotten there yet. those who know him personally have all reasons to like him regardless. those who don't, those with ambitions in the pale, and those who generally hate anyone in a position of power can find some reason to make him their enemy. aside from the two opinions of him, people are content to simply stand back and point fingers at him, too. romantically, Asgeir is totally inexperienced, but people have been dropping hints to him about entertaining some young ladies to find a wife. he's not sure what to think about that sort of arrangement, really.
fillim driftwood twenty-three years old; bosmer; bandit; big problems with the thieves guild; aloof to everyone; not as much of a bad guy as he would like to think;;; Fillim doesn't really get along with anyone. he doesn't go around making note to ensure everyone hates him or anything of the sort, but he hasn't had a genuine friend since he was a young elf living in southern skyrim, before his small family was torn apart by the efforts of one highly unsavory member of the thieves guild. so yeah, anyone who meets him has a much better chance - like, a nine in ten chance - of getting on his bad side rather than his good side. a little vision of the ability for people to occasionally be good to other people might go a long way for him, though.
tedril gavyn twenty-nine years old; dunmer; thane of whiterun working with lydia; professional contract mercenary; learned; professional but crafty and humorous; punishes the guilty;;; a dunmer whose family instilled within him a need for respectability among their race, Tedril has taken on many roles in his life in his search to find what fulfills him. being a relatively enjoyable fellow to get to know, chances are his travels with his merchant family as a teenager, his time at the college of winterhold, and his experiences as a mercenary and eventual thane of whiterun have brought to him many contacts and acquaintances over the years. so long as someone isn't a supernatural creature preying upon the innocent, chances are Tedril will not have enough of a problem with them to unleash anything but backhanded complements. those that do harm others? Tedril will gladly harm them and have little remorse about it. over the years, he's been fairly romantically inclined, but never found a woman interesting enough, or one who could tolerate his life enough, to settle into a commitment.
elenwen fifty-two years young; altmer; first emissary of the thalmor; public enemy number one; frigid; infuriatingly talented at everything and uses it to step over the less-inclined;;; Elenwen barely has any use for the word friend. as a youth it wasn't the weight of friends that carried her, but her and her father's desire for her to achieve status among the altmer. still, she does play nice when she needs to. she can't go out of her way - yet - to alienate the imperials and thus lets them enjoy the little parties she throws by buying them the best drinks and food the first emissary to skyrim can afford. don't even ask about enemies. considering her intense pressure against the worship of talos and the already stale opinion of the thalmor in skyrim, Elenwen doesn't have to walk five feet to find an enemy. she is easily the most hated woman in skyrim, by a long shot. as one might have guessed, Elenwen's not big on this whole romance thing, either. it would take someone impressive beyond belief - and someone who she could avoid counting as inferior - to make any difference in that matter.
drifa snow-proud twenty-four years old; nord; soon to be steward of winterhold; stormcloak sympathizer; staunchly against the college's presence; speaks her mind like a true nord;;; though it might appear that Drifa, being from a relatively rich winterhold family, could have friends on every arm, she's better at meeting people on a formal level than one-on-one. the happenings in her life have made her rather quirky in such a way that she's only really intimate and honest with her family, and with her mother being an imperial, she's lost the outlet to her in a way. that said, Drifa is friendly and not hard to get along with despite being more well-off than many...unless you're a mage or an imperial. Then she might end up flinging verbal assaults at you and generally being unpleasant. Romantically, it's going to take her getting over some of her issues with intimate relationships with people for her to even begin thinking about being anything other than an unattached woman.
helviane the carnal forty years old; breton; forsworn warlord; violent and wild; clever deep down; thinks the forsworn can do more than hit markarth with sticks;;; unless you're a forsworn or someone genuinely worth Helviane's time, she will not be your friend or associate with you in any way aside from threats and a blade to the neck. her loyality is to her brothers and sisters in the reach, and a lot of them she doesn't get along with either. what chance should someone else think they have of becoming buddy buddy with her? enemies are...everyone. nords and thalmor are her main concerns, but Helviane isn't immensely picky with who she cuts down, whether khajiit, imperial, bretons who are not forsworn, or anything. romantically....bahahahahaha. *ahem* but yeah, no. she will use her looks consciously to get her way, since she's quite aware of the appeal carried by her people, but beyond that, nope.

Arnbjorn and Morrigan I think they're a really interesting dynamic we could explore here. Morrigan often employs the Dark Brotherhood, and I could see Arnbjorn being her favorite of the bunch. Like if she sends a letter for a contract and mentions to Astrid to 'send the puppy'. They could be business associates that are wary of each other, given their species. A Werewolf and a Vampire working together out of convenience for both sides? We should plot something out for these two.
Coulson and Morrigan I really like the idea of these two doing a thread together. If we could come up with a good premise for why they would meet, I think they're personalities would be amazing written together. I could see a dalliance, if you know what I mean, but nothing serious. Given Coulson's past, Morrigan could relate on a lot of levels with him I think. A sympathetic, sorta-friendhship maybe? Again, something needs to happen here.
Senex and Morrigan Total enemies. Morrigan finances the Stormcloaks through a variety of means, but she does employ pirates from the ruins of House Dres in Morrowind. Gallus could easily be pirating on her pirates and that would make for a good antagonism. Morrigan hates it when people get all up in her business ventures and spares no expense to extinguish them, but if Gallus is crafty enough to evade her machinations, he'll probably also earn her begrudging respect. A rivalry maybe? Perhaps they even have history? SO MANY PLOTS COULD HAPPEN!

Morrigan | Arnbjorn
Ooooh, I like this! I don't think Arnbjorn would mind, especially considering anyone asking for him would boost his typically indifferent ego a bit. XD And I don't think, judging by what I've seen of her, he'd have any sorts of problems with her. Probably make a few cracks about vampire-related things and then get the job done without much concern about working for one, considering he works with one too and tends to like her most days. As long as she doesn't bring any smelly vampire-related items into his vicinity, he'd be all good with this arrangement.
Morrigan | Coulson
Yeah, I deeefinitely see where these two could have quite a bit in common. He'd probably be partially terrified of her once he finds out she's a vampire, since he doesn't do the whole chillaxin' with vampires or werewolves particularly eagerly, but for a guy like him who actually needs really good allies, he could get past it for sure. I don't think we'd have to overthink any particular way for them to meet. Perhaps some individual could know that she's a part of a group of vampires, but keep quiet about it and send him her way for a certain need he has that we could decide on.
Morrigan | Senex
Muahaha, he does need him a nice rival with some financial means and power. He's not a huge fan of vampires, either, which could easily add to his ire. I'd be perfectly fine with some amount of history...perhaps he could have met her during his study expedition and, in a way, his encounter with her could have led to his dislike of vampires in the first place. Lots of ways to come at this.
Thanks for replying! But yeah, whichever one of these you'd want to target to start off with, I'm perfectly cool with.

MJOLL & BRYNJOLF .OMG THESE TWO HAVE TO HAVE SOME SORT OF SEXUAL TENSION WITH MUTUAL HATE THROWN INTO THE MIX. GAH! Anyways, Mjoll is all about the eradication of the thieves guild and Brynjolf is well...pretty much is the thieves guild, in my mind at least. So these two should threaten each other all of the time and get into fight, both verbal and physical. However, I'll enjoy the fact that they should both have some sort of sexual attraction towards one another. Possible ragefuck? TAROS & BRYNJOLF .hmmm, i'd say mututal respect and friendship for these two. nothing too close but they both know what the other is capable of and respect each other because of it? ALEKS & BRYNJOLF .well, in my app it said that brynjolf found aleks and invited him to the guild, so I can see bryn being sort of a father figure towards aleks? moreso than mercer. aleks is pretty easy going and i think their personalities would mesh together really well as friends! DREDHWEN & BRYNJOLF .these two need to have some sort of interaction. maybe she was sent out to riften by Molag Bal and we told to take out one of his thieves? i don't know. AXEL & BRYNJOLF .enemies. they both go after the same thing but axel and his band of merry men are much less discreet about it. plus, they lack justice and obviously brynjolf isn't a fan of that. maybe they were both going after the same target and they end up fighting one another? DREDHWEN & ARNBJORN .these two should know each other, seeing as dredhwen used to belong to brotherhood before she went rogue and started following molag bal, rather than sithis. these two should have a run in, i don't know how it will go down, but yeah.

Omnomnom plots.
Mjoll | Brynjolf
Oh, tension for definite. :D Brynjolf would probably even find her a bit amusing deep down, too. But yeah, I imagine these two are clashing on a weekly basis over one thing or another, and Brynjolf, being the criminal out of the two, would probably be constantly trolling her in his own way and being rather proud of himself for managing it. But yeah! This definitely needs some threadage going on!
Taros | Brynjolf
Oh yeah, without a doubt. They probably wouldn't even have an extreme amount to say to each other at any point, just a nod and a toast and the job is done. XD
Aleks | Brynjolf
I had forgotten I read that! Yeah, I think Brynjolf definitely takes most of those he brings in under his wing and keeps an eye on them for as long as they're in the guild, in addition to showing them the ropes as long as they need it. I'd say they've had a good companionship in the process of being formed.
Dredhwen | Brynjolf
Ooh, I like that. :0 That would certainly be turning the tide against Brynjolf, since he's typically the one "after" someone. XD We should definitely do this.
Axel | Brynjolf
Ditto the above, just with Brynjolf not used to having someone infringing on his territory with these sorts of things.
Dredhwen | Arnbjorn
Ah, yes! I don't think Arnbjorn would have anything particularly against her aside from her leaving, since he doesn't particularly bother with grudges and hands out his dislike equally, so perhaps it could be a case of needing, not necessarily a favor, but a bit of assistance on something?

arnbjorn ; vex - welp, me and taiya decided astrid and vex dislike each other, so no doubt, there'd be a degree of mistrust/dislike between these two. idk if they'd have even met, but it is possible that they may have crossed paths, if only because their respective societies are allies, and vex is rather friendly with a couple of his assassin buds. SO YES. shutting up now.
finarfin - is my little assassin bosmer who was recruited because he happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. basically astrid thought he slaughtered his brother when he didn't. so he's not really a killer. but he's eager to learn and wants to impress his new family, since returning to his old one isn't going to happen anytime soon. SO i think he'd find arnbjorn intimidating. and try to stay out of his way. mhmm. coulson ; titania - okay, so i don't really have anything for cole, except titania here. they might have met if coulson found himself in whiterun, winterhold, or the college, since titania's resided in all those places at some point or another. i can see them being friends, not overly close or anything, but enough for titania to want to listen to him babble on about history and discuss magic with. yes. any better ideas? senex ; adela - well, we kinda know what's going on here. adela's been forced on him, and has opened her eyes to the fact she thinks he's attractive. but as of yet, nothing's come of it because she's refusing to put her affections before her orders. excited to start these guys whenever you're ready. :DD brynjolf ; vex - colleagues~ vex admires and respects him to no end. she might be a snarky cow towards him, but bryn would probably understand that she's not all bad. there probably was a time when she was infatuated with him, when she wasn't so cynical about the opposite sex, but right now, she sees him as more of a brother than anything else. yesss. these two should be fun. c:

my computer still sucks, but you know, i'm going to post anyway, cause i need to. and because i have a member of the guild that likes to steal stuff. anyway, this is eleri, or el, and she's a thief. she fancies herself the master of deception. not so much infiltrating and not being seen, but going in a fully obvious way and tricking people. but anyway, she and bryn know each other, obviously. i imagine since he is the most public of the guild she went to him and asked if she could be apart of the gang. and yeah. i don't know honestly.
if you have other ideas, throw them at me.

Moooar!
Vex | Arnbjorn
Oh, Arnbjorn definitely would think his wife's dislike for someone is enough for him to dislike them, considering he generally acts like he/actually dislikes pretty much everyone. :D I figure he could have passed by and grunted distastefully at her on at least a pair of occasions, if nothing else. They need to totally get stuck having to do something together sometime. >>
Finarfin | Arnbjorn
Muahaha, some fresh meat for him to refer to as various foods whenever he wishes to! This pleases him, moreso since he's an elf and by default just a morsel or an appetizer. Arnbjorn needs to give him a random interrogation at the smith's table or something as his initiation.
Titania | Coulson
I like this! He is in need of his grand total of three or four people he has been able to be call friends before his time on the site. XD I kind of like the idea of him having run across her maybe in Winterhold so he could have ranted about why he didn't want to be at the college and such. But yeah, I think he'd be cool with her since she's a fellow Breton and he doesn't perceive her as dangerous whatsoever. :D
Adela | Senex
I was totally explaining to Taiya late last night how blind I was, because I hadn't noticed she was done until then. 8'D ANYWAY, yeah, we need to get this stuff started! Gallus is more than happy to be all "yeah, I'm attractive, you know you like it ;D" as soon as he possibly can! I can get something whipped up if you'd like, methinks. If you had an idea to throw at me, it'd be great. 8D Since I'm braindead, as I said.
Vex | Brynjolf
I just got the thread up for them with that in mind! It's at the Flagon, kind of some preliminary stuff before they can head out and do what I mentioned to you on Skype yesterday.
Eleri | Brynjolf
I think if someone went out looking to join the guild, they'd definitely have to pass through Brynjolf first. :D Since he gets the fatherly thing going on with the newbies, we could play with that idea?

Yeah. She wanted to join. Mostly because she needed the money and stealing things sounded like a decent idea. So why not join the Guild and at least be somewhat protected? That was her logic. Anyway, that would be fine. She would have joined a few years ago. But yeah.

rune & brynjolf oooh~ these two should be fun. i'd imagine, since their meeting, rune's really come to respect bryn. not only for offering him a spot in the guild, but just because his life completely turned around because of brynjolf. so if anyone was out and about in riften's marketplace, pissing on bryn's name, you can definitely bet that rune'll have some not so nice words to transfer with whoever it is- unless it's maven. but then he'll probably be thinking them.
i don't have any ideas for any threads, though o: allimir & arnbjorn welp~ since allimir's the second in command, and arnbjorn's astrid's squeeze, i'd assume that allimir has to put up with astrid and him a lot more than anyone else. i can see them having a weird relationship, because arnbjorn's a werewolf, and allimir's a vampire, but y'know. that'll just add to their snarky conversations, and make them more awesome. it'd be even better if they both end up getting stuck doing some sort of contract, or even if they're both coming back from one, and something goes wrong. they'd have to work ~together to get out of their tight jaaaaam. or some such.
anyways, it would be amazing. lawl.

How had I missed at some point that Rune was in the guild? D8 Go home Kent, you're drunk. Anyway, yeah, I like the sound of it! I also don't have any immediate ideas on how to get a thread working out of that quite yet, but I'm sure something will cross our path that's convenient at some point! I'll keep an eye out. B|
Allimir | Arnbjorn
Oho yes. Between Allimir and Babette, Arnbjorn's fur will go gray early... But anyway, I like that idea of coming back from a contract and getting stuck in something. :0 We should totally come up with a scenario for that and get it going. XD I would put forward an idea, but my brain died from college hell week. If you didn't have anything in particular, I can probably figure something out once sentient thought is regained.
