→ armor of choice.
forsworn; she's never been apart of the forsworn clan, but ashira's killed too many members to count. because their armor is light fitting, and the barbaric style suits her personality, she's decided to wear it with pride, but she's quick to change someone's mind if they assume she's affiliated with them.→ weapon of choice.
ashira favors daggers and bows; especially daedric items.→ alliance.
neutral. she'll work for anyone if they've got the gold.→ magic abilities.
because of the fact that learning magic is one of the harder things in life for ashira, she's only stuck to the basics; healing hands, flames, and frost. anything above that, she doesn't have any interest in attempting to master.→ refined skills.
because of her line of work, and her natural instincts in the ways of stealth, ashira's heightened on her sneaking, pickpocketing, duel wielding, and archery. she's still learning quite a few things, of course, but she's off to a very good start in becoming a master of the shadows.→ fears.
• meet the same end as her mother did• having to scrounge the ratway to survive ever again
→ dreams.
• keep her past a secret from everyone she can• never let another khajiit suffer cruelty from being skinned again

→ backstory.
the day ashira was born, it was a cold day in skyrim. her mother and father were caravan travellers, doing their best to sell their goods without their valuables being ransacked along the dangerous roads of the rift. when she was born, the first sights that little ashira's eyes registered was riften's sky, and although she's quite aware it isn't the true birth place of her species, it's always felt like home to her.she grew up on the road, helping her mother and father sell their foods to travellers, and merchants in large cities. the more dangerous it became, the larger their group grew into, and ashira was surrounded by plenty of people who she could trust, love, and look up to. unfortunately, even with their numbers being a little high just for one caravan, they were ambushed by bandits on their way to solitude. ashira's mother, who was trying to keep the bandit's attention from her child, was killed in the altercation after refusing to comply with the bandit's wishes. they skinned her alive, bragging the entire time about throwing her on their wall back at home in markarth.
ashira never forgot the image of her mother being murdered, and the only reason she survived was because of her father's most loyal friend, sacrificing himself in order to let her escape. she had nothing but the rags on her body to survive with, but even that wasn't enough.
as she made her way back to riften, back trailing the roads and cities that they had passed through in order to get to solitude, ashira quickly learned that in order to survive, you had to do things that weren't exactly righteous in other's minds. stealing, for example, became a second-gesture to her to prevent herself from going hungry, or cold. the first time she was caught was in morthal, but considering she was only just a child, they didn't exactly know what to give her as punishment. the food vendor who she had attempted to steal from quickly grew sympathetic for the young cat, and took her in under his wing for a short period of time.
after his hospitality had run dry, and he barely had enough for himself to survive, he sent ashira on her way on the back of a carriage. he'd paid the driver to take her to riften, the only place she really thought she could trust after the death of her mother, and losing her father entirely. in a matter of days, she arrived at riften's front gate, the driver having had to wake her up from the journey, but she was more than relieved to see the city's walls were still very strong and standing.
the orphanage took ashira in, and raised her up until she became too much of a hassle to look after. her thieving, fighting, and overall bad behaviour was well over tolerable, and with her not being a child anymore, they didn't have very many issues with letting her go. other than the fact that she would, of course, be allowed to leave riften on her own terms and never come back unless she chose to.
after she was 'given her freedom', ashira set out to markarth to find the bandits that killed her mother, her friends, and left her life in ruins. she was only seventeen years old at the time, but her fire was very much lit, and she refused to stop until they tasted the blood that they had split. in her travels there, she was faced with many obstacles, people, and situations that made her stronger. her training progressed with her travels, always willing to lend a few coin in order to pick up a few tricks here and there when it was offered.
by the time she reached markarth, it was almost a year after she'd set out on her quest to avenged her family. the bandits that had been there twelve years ago weren't there anymore, having been run out of the city because of their suspicious activity. but she did have a lead as to where they were headed: solitude. ashira took her time gathering herself, mentally a physically, and then continued on her way, changing direction back to the horrific spot where her life changed forever.
it was almost fate that had brought her, and the bandits, to a meeting in almost the same exact spot they had raiding the caravan. but unlike before, ashira was ready to fight for her life, and she had the weapons and skills to do so. instead of the bandits ambushing her into surprise, and robbing her of everything she had, she took out two of the bandit's henchmen to gain access to his tent, and then held him at knife point. after explaining her life, the torment that she had to live with everyday about the images of her mother's terrifying end, she gave him the same fate he gave her. only she didn't string up his hide on her wall in her living quarters: instead, she hung it outside his tent, and left a warning to the rest of his worthless followers about skinning khajiit. with that, she took her mother's hide down, and started back to riften.
upon arriving, the very first thing she did was create a campfire outside the city's walls. after saying her final goodbyes to her mother, she laid the only thing left of her mother's memory into the flame, and watched her go up in flames, finally settling the burden on her shoulders to redeem her mother.
after her "life long" quest was cut short, only at the age of twenty-two, ashira started to use her weapon wielding, and stealth skills for her own survival. it wasn't long after that, that she became a well-known mercenary amongst skyrim's larger cities.
