[/div][/div][atrb=style, width: 265px;][atrb=valign,top] her steps were sluggish and exhausted, like the steps of a defeated warrior. all she had on her were the clothes on her back and the bow and quiver over her shoulder. her hair, silver and shimmering in the mid day sun, was tied in several intricate braids that seemed to become a signature of sorts. dirt and dried blood, both from herself and the prey she hunted, stained her once pale skin, the sign of someone who had no home as of late. she had become nameless in skyrim, a wanderer and freelance merchant of sorts; penniless, she wandered the roads of the great province, never once cursing the cold weather that more often than not graced her skin. squinting her green orbs, she looked towards the sun, stopping for a moment as she lifted a weak hand to shield them from it's bright rays.
having lost track of how long she had been walking for, she figured she may as well stop for a moment of rest. the contemplation of finding a nearby stream was fresh in her mind as well, the thirst in the throat too hard to ignore. though, at the same time, it hadn't been too long ago that she had seen a sign, pointing her in the direction of markarth. it wouldn't be too much farther before she found herself in the reach where there would be food and water. even with no coin on her person, she would manage herself; as innocent as she seemed, it usually played her advantage. without realizing, she was able to find free shelter and food, all relied on appearance alone.
the reach was foreign territory to her and thus she had no idea the attitude of the people of it. intimidating and daunting, theana was starting to doubt her innocent image, realizing that it may prove to be useless among the citizens of markarth. it was then that she decided upon the search for water and maybe a pelt to trade in, once she reached the great city. having become a fine hunter, it wouldn't take her too long before she would have something to bring in for coin. obviously, her fatigue, hunger and thirst were all a factor and theana could only hope that she had enough strength to finish a hunt.
luck was on the young nord's side as she wandered into the wilderness, soon finding a stream to drink from. the grove she had found also seemed to be full of life and most of that life being edible and skinnable. with a new pelt to add to her collection, theana decided that she deserved rest and to set up camp.
the fire burned bright and warm as she huddled around it, the pelt now wrapped around her shoulders as she cut off pieces of meat from the carcass. starving and alone, she kept a look out; she rarely slept when not at an inn. bandits were known to wander skyrim just ad theana did and she was not planning to be spotted by any. as skilled as she was with a bow, there was no doubt in her mind that she could easily get taken down by a bandit.
just as such a thought crossed her mind, she heard voices and footsteps that were far too foul and obnoxious to be that of guards. breath catching in her throat, the ex-noblewoman started to douse the fire in water.
it was too late.
as she tried to douse the fire, the footsteps started to come closer. one of the men had stated they had seen a fire and now all of the men were headed in her direction. becoming frightened, her movement was careless as she picked up her quiver, bow and pelt, each of her steps loud and evident.
she could hear the footsteps quickening towards her before she suddenly heard a voice, "They're headed this way!"
gasping, the young woman started to run, more than one man following her before she suddenly felt a hand grab hold of her hair. she shrieked loudly before she came to a halt, her hands reaching up and grabbing the bandit's in an attempt to pry it from her. though, obviously, it was no use. the bandit pulled her close and smirked to himself, "We got a pretty one!" he started before theana let out a soft whimper. there was no way she was going to beg for her life, but that in no way meant that she wasn't frightened. It was a good day to be hunting, and Rogdul was pleased to be out and about. Axel and some of the others had taken off chasing what they knew to be a good bounty, at least, a bounty they were planning on taking from whoever initially earns it. In their haste, Axel had instructed Rogdul to take some of the men out for a hunt so they had enough for a feast when they returned. Axel didn't say much about this bounty they were after, about Rogdul figured it was something big enough to celebrate if they become successful, hence the requested feast food. As much as Rogdul didn't mind to be doing a menial task such as hunting while Axel and the others were off on a raid, there was a nagging question nipping at him that asked why Axel hadn't asked Rogdul along. The two had been working together for years now and had developed quite a bond. Maybe he was over thinking things, but Rogdul can't help but wonder if it was a simple bounty they were after, and not something more expensive that they didn't particularly want the others knowing about.
Letting these thoughts shift out of his head, Rogdul brought his immediate attention back to the task at hand - finding a large supper. Usually a deer would suffice on a regular occasion for the entire gang of Marauders, but Axel had stated a feast, so it was only fitting that they set their sights for a buck. The Reach was popular for buck hunting. The pale, not so much. It was only fitting that Rogdul should lead his men south to the Reach to find a good hunt.
They had been walking all day, and the sun was shining bright overhead. The men where chatting quietly behind Rogdul, and he wasn't particularly listening to their rabble, just monitoring how loud their voices where in case they should scare away all their game. They were talking about the normal things, war stories, women, arguing techniques, so it was not surprising that Rogdul, being the only one not talking, caught the scent of smoke before the others. He halted on the spot and his head snapped to the side. He searched the surrounding wilderness, to find the source of the smoke which he knew to be close. By this stage the other me had caught on to the situation and were as alert as wolves on the prowl, waiting for their Alphas command. There. Rogdul spotted the flicker of feint flame through the greenery and without a second thought made the signal to his men to surround and suppress and followed directly in their wake.
His men shout words to each other, letting one another know what was happening. "A woman!" They called, and Rogdul saw the flutter of silver hair that tried to run but was caught swiftly. "We got a pretty one!", said the man who had hold of the woman as she whimpered. Rogdul could not quite see the woman's face, but she was small, fragile. His first thought was what she could be doing out here alone, but he only remembered all the other lonely women they had found over the years, found and raped and murdered, and he realized she was no different. Rogdul said nothing, but let the men talk. They continued to comment on her beauty, asking her what she was doing all by herself. But the man with hold on her arm grew impatient and told the men to back off before swinging the girl around to face him and taking hold of her other arm in a vice grip. That's when Rogdul saw her face. She was young, so young. Youthfulness and innocence plagued her features and the raw fear in her eyes made Rogdul squirm. Close to nothing made him squirm, but this sight did, and he could not condone it.
By the man's grip on the girl, Rogdul knew immediately what he planned to do right her, in front of his men. But Rogdul could not allow it. He could not watch. "Wait!" The men paused and looked at Rogdul, watching and waiting. He slowly walked up to the girl, who's hand had been realized from grip while the other still held, and looked at her face. Her eyes. "This one is mine." After a moment, he looked at the man holding the girl sternly. The other men were jeering, posing witty remarks about Rogdul claiming a lady friend. The man let go of the girl, clearly displeased but obliged to let it go for he had staked no claim over her. Rogdul did not look at the girl, but commanded one of his men to bind her hands and lead her with rope so they could continue the hunt. Rogdul hadn't thought this through very well, he just knew he couldn't let his men rape the girl. It would be too cruel.

[/div][/div][atrb=style, width: 265px;][atrb=valign,top] with the man's hand on her arm, she felt the fear and terror that had only ever entered her once before. it was the time of when her own mother threatened to draw a knife upon her throat. her own mother, a woman of whom she thought she could trust and hold dear, had betrayed her and all because she would not marry when she was force to. the young nord was not one to be forced into things and her mother should have known that; ever since she was a young girl, theana had disobeyed her parents and tried everything her power to become someone other than a lady. but her mother always pushed for it, always made her give up withngs that she held dear, like archery and free rides through the lands. eventually it got to the point that there was nothing left to threaten the young woman with - nothing except her life. so now, as she stared up at the man who now looked at her as if she were a piece of meat, it was not as terrifying. theana did not necessarily fear death, just what was to come before it.
she did not wish to seem weak, so she kept her mouth shut as the man made advances at her. vile and prutride, he stunk of shit and piss as he leaned his face closer to hers and mad advance after advance towards her. too many times did she wish to kick him in the groin and run away, but she knew she could not outrun these bandits. as much as she prided herself on knowing the wilderness of skyrim, there was no way she could ever out hide the men who seemed to live off it just as she did. all that the young woman could do was cooperate and hopefully have her life spared with little to no affliction. her captor held her arm with an iron grip that rendered her helpless and inable to escape; he knew this too and let out an sinister chuckle before theana looked down at his hand.
before she knew it, she was startled by a loud voice, commanding the men to wait. all of them seemed to do so and the man holding her had even released her arm and given claim upon it back to her. jerking it back, she lifted her opposite arm and started to rub the now tender spot that was held by the man before. her eyes looked up at upon the man walking towards her - an orc. at least twice her size in both height and build, he looked down at her and that mere look caused fear to find its way back into theana. this man was their leader, or so it seemed to play out. and then he spoke of her being his and theana wanted to run away all over again.
with her hands bound, she followed the bandit group as they started to march forward. the man now handing the rope over to the man that seemingly had no claimed her as his, "what do you plan on doing to me?" she asked, her voice somewhat timid and calm, as if she had accepted her fate. he seemed to say nothing and theana had given him a few moments before she found herself impatient, "what do you plean on doing to me!?" she shouted, her voice fierce but with a tremor of fear. she feared the answer, but wished to know it all the same. As they continued on their hunt with a new addition lead behind him by the rope that he now held, Rogdul could not help but let his mind wonder into the past - the past he worked so hard to forget and move on from. His dear sister's face returned to him once more. Her smiling face, tainted with such innocence, turning suddenly into one of pain, violation and brokenness. Rogdul has never forgiven himself for letting them marry her off to that chief, knowing completely that it was the way of their people, but refusing to justify the reality of it to his own blood. He was even more ashamed for disgracing his family after his acts of foolish vengeance in his sister's name. If there was some kind of honor in what he did, betraying and rebelling against the ways of his people, the ways of his blood, bringing everlasting shame to his family that would follow them beyond death, he failed to recognize it. If that wasn't punishment enough, Rogdul himself was exiled from the stronghold, stripped of his name and bid never to return again. Where was the honor the men of the Blackhood Marauders claimed he had for his actions?
The face of his sister changed and formed into the faces of all the women he had since raped without the honor he was so desperate to find. Every face, every woman. He remembered them all. He did not rape and pillage as his companions do so heatedly anymore - he struggled to live with himself even now. Instead, he thought of the future, though still very clouded with ghosts of the past. He thought of how he may better live out the rest of his pitiful days with his condemned soul, how he could possibly begin to resurrect it. The girl he now lead by bound hands and rope had spoken, and Rogdul was forced back into the present reality. His men knew the ways well, and though he did give his orders when called for, they often weren't needed, which Rogdul was thankful for at this moment for he was not all aware.
He had not so much chosen to spare the girl from being raped by his men and probably left to die - it didn't matter if she was saved or not for there were still plenty of women across Skyrim and all of Tamriel who would undergo the same fate regardless whether she lives or dies. It was more for the sake that he could not bare to put up with the tortured screams, the site of violation. But he now had to deal with the fruits of his compassion for he had not thought far enough to think about how her presence would affect things. He had claimed her, now she was his to do with what he wish. But he didn't want her, not in the way you want a woman when you call claim to them. He ignored her first question about his intentions. How was he to answer when he himself did not know?
But the girl was persistent and impatient. Her previously ignored question she know repeated with volume and assumed authority. The men complained, but Rogdul ceased them, turning to face her, to attempt to give her an answer in hopes of keeping her quiet. "I will do with you what I wish and you would do well to not ask anymore questions or I may not be so forgiving in the future." It was a lie, of course. Rogdul had no intentions to do anything to this girl, but he had an authority to uphold, and that was that. He turn away from her then, facing his men who know looked at him with weary expressions. They had been hunting, or rather, attempting to hunt since the girl joined their party, for a better part of 10 hours on foot. They were tired and hungry, and so was Rogdul. "We will camp here tonight. We will resume our hunt at first light and if by mid sun we have no fruits to prove our labor, we will begin on our way back to the main camp." The men grunted and nodded, seemingly pleased to take a load off and started to get a camp going around them.
Tents went up; a fire was built. They were not without food and sustinence and what they had was rationed and divided. Their camp was complete in good time for the darkness to fall around them. The girl was tied up to the inside of Rogdul's tent, away from the view of his men. Once he had his feed, and the men were chattering and swapping banter between themselves, Rogdul retreated back to his tent, a small bowl of food hidden from site to give to the girl. He placed the bowl in front of her; she was tied with enough give to allow her hands use for no more than two feet, enough for her to reach the bowl and eat. Rogdul sat on his bed pile, watching her with little expression. "What is your name?', he asked suddenly and quietly.

[/div][/div][atrb=style, width: 265px;][atrb=valign,top] there we times where theana would think of home; the warmth of her own bed and the touch of her mother's hand as she spoke of stories and legends. a child's innocence was to be cherished and theana knew that now. if there ever came a time that she did end up having children, she would allow them to have as long of a childhood as possible. of course, they would have their chores and their duties around the house or farm, whichever she ended up owning, but all in all they were allowed to be as blissfully ignorant as they could. most importantly, theana knew that if she ever were to have a daughter, that she would marry for love and not because herself or her father said so. well, if she ever lived to see such a day which, in this case as of now, seemed highly unlikely. what with her hands bound and being lead by a man that could easily break her in two, if he wished to do so. obviously, at this point, theana had already been so close to death once, nothing really frightened her anymore - well, except for the possible rape that seemed to be highly likely.
though the young nord woman knew that there was high possibility of her life being ended with a single swing, she spoke with authority when she asked as to what this orc seemed to want with her. obviously he claimed her for the reason that he wanted to claim her as his own and this within itself was enough to make theana want to break free and run. could she outrun these men? possibly, she was smaller and not nearly as weighed down with armor as they were. however, they had managed to catch her before, what would be the difference now. running was out of the equation and theana had given up on trying to come up with complex plans to escape. possibly when the man was asleep? she could sneak away from wherever she was and go back to her life as a wanderer. of course, then every day would be a game of the hunter becoming the hunted. they would more than likely try to find her, if only to make an example of her, bandts tended to be so ruthless. and he was, as he turned to shut her up, telling her to keep her tongue between her teeth; he did not say it, but theana hd the feeling that he would easily cut it out.
after walking for what seemed like ages, she heard the man in front of her speak of setting up camp, something that theana welcomed as well as dreaded. if they stopped and set p camp, theana would lose, not only her virginity, but her dignity as well. obviously this man wanted to claim her as his own personal play thing and theana was far from prepared for it.
with the tent set up and theana now tied up inside of the tent, she sat on her knees, her hands on her lap as she waited for the time to come where he will grab her and throw her to his bed pile with such violence that she would ultimately be left bruised and battered. so, when he came into the tent, theana stood her ground, even rising to her feet to show that she was unafraid of what he was about to do to her - even if she was truly terrified. she then found herself staring at a bowl of food in front of her; at first she found it to be out of reach, but when she got back down to her knees and reached for it, she was able to grab hold of it. confused, she stared at the food for a moment before looking up and at the man who now sat in front of her, "did you poison this?" she asked, even though she highly doubt it was.
when he asked her name, she was slightly startled. she didn't know whether it would be wise to give her name out so freely, but at the same time, it wasn't like these bandits were going to keep her alive for much longer, "theana..." she started before she raised her head a bit, straightening herself out to show confidence, "theana the unbroken." she added, giving him the name that had been given to her by the family who had found her starved and dehydrated. she looked back down at her food before taking a piece of meat and putting it in her mouth; it was dry and hard to chew, but ti was still food, "i heard the men call rogdul." she stated, after having finally swallowed the tough meat, "is there a title alongside that name?" she questioned, trying to seem as though she was unphased by her capture.
