KNOCK KNOCK, LET ME IN LET ME BE YOUR SECRET SIN tagged vex, with 803 words, wearing this. yeeeeeees! also, sorry for the powerplaying and shit~ i figured since he was gonna win anyway, you wouldn't mind. [STYLE=background-color:#191919; width:325px; height: 350px; overflow: auto; font-family:Arial; color:#aaaaaa; text-align:justify; text-transform:lowercase; font-size:10px; opacity: .8; padding: 10 10 10 10px;]"you should know by now that i'm much more of a.. social drinker," allimir breathed out with a toothy grin, his mind slightly flickering towards ideas of drinking in other ways; blood, mostly, but the small twist of sexual innuendo was present as well. but vex should've known that he wouldn't have taken to her just simply handing him a bottle, and expect him to just walk away like a merry ol' chap. maybe for someone else, someone he didn't really desire, but not for vex. a chance to get her actually affected by the hinderer of alcohol might be more interesting than he could handle.
at first, when vex had agreed very sternly to his conditions on winning, a triumphant grin broke out over his lips, and it remained there for a period of time. he was rather happy that she hadn't tried to back out of it, and was accepting; especially since he assumed she was a woman who'd keep her word if she gave it. however, the grin quickly vanished when she one-upped his condition with her own. taking her along with him on a contract wouldn't exactly be going with how the dark brotherhood did things, especially since they wanted to remain as unknown to everyone around them as possible while they dealt with their contracts, but he knew that if he wanted to earn a night with her without the stench of the ratway involved, this was his only chance. and, if he did lose, it wasn't like he'd have to babysit vex the entire time. she was a master thief, or rather close to it- allimir was more than confident in the idea of vex understanding how to conceal herself in the shadows. "fine." he finally replied, his tone slightly matching the dislike in her own. her raised eyebrow did nothing for his mood after hearing stakes like that, and it slightly got him more ready for the sparring she'd suggested.
after she'd gotten herself in her stance, allimir knew she'd more than likely make the first move. he watched her steps, sizing up the way her arms moved, making sure to calculate which she'd throw first, or if it'd just be a single punch. she acted quickly, diving right into things, but allimir was more than pleased about. but her pathetic jab was almost an insult. test or not, allimir didn't hold back to tell her to step it up; instead, he shifted his right arm forward, knocking her aim, and as his arm lifted, sliding against her now off-centered arm, he landed a decent chop against the side of her nose. his movements were fast, but the chip had been more hesitant, having had to decide where to aim. he was about to aim for her neck, but he didn't want anything to accidentally happen. he knew he wouldn't break her nose, but at the same time, hitting her directly in the face would hopefully make her spark up, and start treating this like a real spar. he knew she had it in her, he'd seen that fire in the pit of her pupils since the first day they'd met.
allimir stepped with her as she took the blow, retreating his arm before she might get the idea to grab onto it and use it to her advantage. narrowing his eyes, he kept his breathing calm, right eyebrow slightly raising in cockiness. "don't make me fight you like a girl, sweetheart. i'd hate to break a nail." his sarcastic tone was back by the end of his sentence, and he clenched his right hand into a fist once more. jerking it back in what seemed to be almost a careless coil, he cracked it forward, the speed straightening his aim. he was amazed that the knock to the jaw hadn't sent her off her feet, but allimir wasn't giving her his all, either. if he'd wanted to kill her, he wouldn't be holding himself back, but this was simply just for sport. even so, he didn't want to severely hurt her, so even though he'd allowed himself to punch her in the face, he hadn't thrown it with enough strength behind it to dislocate anything, or bruise the bone. the skin, however..
with knuckles already raw, allimir brought his fist back to pair with his left, taking a few steps between them to give her some space to regain herself. it'd only be fair if he gave her a chance to get at him; he normally didn't like thinking about women as more fragile, but with vex's latest stunt, he didn't want her to overdo her body's limits. sending her back into the ragged flagon with her side in bad condition again wouldn't lead to any fan mail from random couriers.

[style=width: 370px; background-color:#a7cacc; text-transform: uppercase; font-size: 9px; padding: 15px;]YOU'VE DONE SOME UGLY THINGS NOW IT'S TOO LATE TO TAKE THEM BACK Vex had been expecting more of a defensive reaction from Allimir; something along the lines of pushing her rather pathetic first punch aside, and telling her to take it seriously. It was her idea after all. She felt her arm move, glancing past him, but what she hadn’t been expecting was a blow to the face. As soon as his hand connected with her nose, Vex’s eyes welled with tears. Noses were always horrible sensitive in that way, and although it hadn’t hurt much and there hadn’t been a lot of power behind the blow, the extra moisture momentarily left her blind. Blinking rapidly to clear her vision, Vex brought her arms back in front of her, fists raised once more. Her nose wasn’t throbbing, and Vex knew it wasn’t broken, but it was enough to get her spurred for the fight to come. She wasn’t sure whether to be pissed off her annoyed that he seemed to be treating this like a real fight.
She snorted gently at Allimir’s taunting, very nearly rolling her eyes. He was so… arrogant. And Vex hated it. She stayed silent for a moment, wondering if he was going to make another move. When he did nothing, Vex was about to answer him, only to have Allimir’s fist collide with her jaw. It came from nowhere, and Vex’s neck snapped back, her teeth jarring. Miraculously she was still on her feet, having taken half a step back with the momentum of the punch. Unlike the first hit, however, Vex could feel her jaw ache long after Allimir had pulled his fist back. It was going to bruise, but it was more the sheer over-confidence the elf had dealt it with that annoyed Vex more. Cursing under her breath, Vex raised a palm to rub at the place where she had been hit, glad to find Allimir had given her a bit of space.
Though only a few moments later, Vex was ready to fight again. The fact her jaw was still aching was pushed to the back of her mind as she tried to come up with some kind of plan. Her breathing was unusually calm, despite being dealt two blows in the space of five minutes. Clearing her throat, she made her way towards Allimir, moving quickly. When she was within arm’s distance, she ducked under Allimir’s arms, pulled her right arm back, and pushed it forward, starting a flurry of small punches aimed at Allimir’s torso. They weren’t the most powerful hits she could dish out, more so because Allimir’s armor cushioned them slightly, but her aim was near perfect, and they landed on the same few spots every time. Solar plexus, his ribs, his sides… anywhere she could get at with her left or right hand. Angry as she was, Vex was clear headed enough to dance out of reach before Allimir could grab her and catch her in a clinch. Vex knew Allimir was stronger than her by far, and being caught by him would undoubtedly signal the end of the fight. What she was hoping to do was make him chase her and wear him out enough so she could punch him almost at will. Unfortunately for her, Vex had no idea how long that would take. But it was a plan, so she would stick with it for now.
“Still going to fight like a girl, love?” she called lightly to him, unable to stop herself from grinning at him through the gloom. She knew she'd dealt little to no damage to him, but she was hoping the fact she'd got any hits in at all would anger him. even if it was just enough to make him lose concentration a little. Vex was well aware that she was losing this fight thus far, but with any luck, that’d change very shortly. ALLIMIR/SIX | 643 | that's totally fineee. hope this makes sense/is okay. i shouldn't write when i'm sick. xD [/style]

KNOCK KNOCK, LET ME IN LET ME BE YOUR SECRET SIN tagged vex, with 1180 words, wearing this. this is soooooo late! but i hope it's worth it c: to be perfectly honest, allimir wasn't very settled about sparring with vex like he would with anyone else. being the man he was, the only rules he normally took into account with sparring with someone equal to his talents was no use of weapons; that included chairs, tables, and anything else that could be used to whack someone unconscious. however, as he took his few steps back to give her room and time to recover from the two blows he'd given her, he couldn't help but recall the actual traditional rules for sparring. normally anything below the collarbone was forbidden, and taken as a bad sporting gesture rather than anything else. that, and you weren't generally supposed to make physical contact in a way that bruised or discoloured the skin. already, allimir had broken two traditional rules, but he felt more wrong about hitting a woman he was very intrigued with, rather than just the fact that he'd made contact in general. if she proved to hold her on against him, he knew that would only raise his curiosity and interest.
a part of him was hoping she'd kick his ass, just so he could actually feel her wrath. he'd heard many stories, some of which he wasn't sure about their truths, but he'd heard enough to start to enjoy the idea of having the blond imperial knock him to the ground, and hold him down with nothing but the strength of her legs. that was a picture allimir could paint in his mind any day. and, despite his best efforts to remain calculated and focused, allimir's mind started to drift to that very image, giving his eyes a clouded over haze of enjoyment. unfortunately, it's one of the things that allowed vex to step so close, and take him by surprise. before he was able to realize she was moving, she's already put herself very close to him, and when he went to push her back in order to gain some thinking room, she ducked out of his way and began her furious flow of punches to his abdomen. to say that it came as a surprise would've been a rather large understatement.
at first, allimir's main focus was trying to block her fury, but he was one second too late for every punch. when he'd flex his stomach for her punch to his side, it'd be just a fraction of a second too late, and the blow would delay him further in his next defensive motion. finally, he grew too frustrated with the constant rain of punches, and with a fearsome growl, lunched forward, hands seeking to grab onto anything of hers, and push her away. she ducked out of his reach once again, and he released another growl of frustration, but at least it gave him a breather. taking a small step back on his own in order to give himself some space, he did his best to let the pulsing sting that coursed over his chest and stomach's skin fade, catching his breath rather easily. his fists were raised back up, knuckles becoming paler than the rest of his vampiric complextion from the strength he put behind it, but he didn't make any advances just yet. now he had to take time to consider.
narrowing his eyes at her snarky comment, allimir let out a dark chuckle, though it ended briskly, making it obvious that it was more put on than anything else. "i have to admit, i'm a little amazed that you don't." his eyes loomed up to her jaw, inspecting the discolour that was there, making his look obvious. "i'm not sure if you'd be able to actually handle how i spar, vex. you're not really winning any points with your confidence, either." in a matter of seconds, that frustrated expression and the cold look in his eyes vanished, and was replaced with his usual cocky smile, and impenetrable gaze. he knew that it was only a matter of time before vex's frustrations started to take over her methods with him. he knew in a normal situation, where vex's life was actually put on the line, he'd be in trouble. she wouldn't break easily. but within a sparring match with a guy like him? allimir was deadset on her slipping up somewhere; he had way too many quips to throw her way for her to keep a calm and collected exterior for too long (or so he'd like to pride himself on thinking, anyway).
"i can't give you too much credit, though.." he slowly trailed off, his tone slowly turning a bit mocking. "for the amount of effort and focus that probably took, you didn't do a whole lot. that's a shame- i was expecting battle wounds that'd spark conversations." the last of his words were almost slurred in sexual haze, but the grin he wore was more-so inviting than anything. not in a sexual way, but in a way that would hopefully unhinge her methods a little bit, and she'd start to throw more of a wild side his way. the whole point of getting vex so riled up was to show for it the next day, wasn't it? then again, allimir expected to be showing some sort of sign tomorrow. if he won, he wasn't going to really hesitate in buying a room; only it wouldn't be in riften. she'd have to hold her side of their deal in falkreath, at dead man's drink. a much more vampire-friendly inn.
as though the flash of winning inspired his actions, allimir made a move to dart towards the right, acting as though he'd planned on catching her off guard with his sudden take off. only, in the midst of his take off, allimir turned on the heels of his boots, and instead psyched her out into believing that's the direction he was heading. instead, he came around her left side, taking a wide turn so he missed any aimless shots of fists, and snagged his arms around her waist, careful of her scarred side when he pulled her against him. it wasn't a romantic notion, and as he turned her and roughly pressed her stomach to the cold and rigid wall of the tavern, he was sure she could tell. in the midst of twisting her into the surface into a pin, he'd grasped her left wrist, and jammed it behind her back, using it as his leverage to keep her still- at least for the time being. he was sure vex had been in more compromising positions than she could count on her hands, and this would be exactly like the majority of them. nonetheless, allimir wanted to have his sweetroll and eat it too.
pressing his lips into her blond hair, finding her ear rather easily, he let a soft, dark chuckle escape against her lope. "you're so easily manoeuvred, vex..." allimir breathed, resting his free hand against the wall beside her head. "i'll admit, i'm finding it hard to decide if that's attractive, or pathetic." .

YOU'VE DONE SOME UGLY THINGS NOW IT'S TOO LATE TO TAKE THEM BACK hearing the frustration emanate from allimir's in growls, vex allowed herself to smirk. sure, she hadn't done much damage to the elf, but she had made him angry. that excited her more than she would have liked to admit.
her eyes narrowed as she watched his gaze drift over her jaw. for a time, she had forgotten about the blow she had already been dealt, but now that her attention was dragged back to it, the throb was still there. that, coupled with allimir's manner, made her rage rise all the more. the fact that allimir resumed to his usual confident state as vex fumed was more than just coincidence. not for the first time, vex very much wished she could wipe the grin off his face. "i can handle it. don't worry." she assured him, trying to settle into her former focused state. but with allimir looking at her so, it was proving hard to do. the fact her mind was whirring certainly didn't help.
but he kept speaking, and vex was sorely tempted to march up and hit him. but that seemed to be what he was after, so she remained where she stood, glaring at him. any other man would quake under the ferocity of one of vex's glares, but not allimir. she supposed she should give him credit for that, but at this point in time, vex was in no mood to admire the bosmer. "come here, then. i'll give you several wounds." vex informed him, though her face was as dead pan as his was mocking. the sexual connotations of his words went right over her head. vex's eyes were trained on his smile, feeling herself slowly growing to hate it. and just as she began to think of some way to get back at him, allimir made his move.
she watched him move, prepared to defend herself from that side, only to have him move back the other way just as quickly. the punch she threw to slow him down missed by an embarrassing length, and vex realized she was helpless when allimir got too close for her to lash out again. she was pulled against him roughly, though perhaps not as rough as allimir could have been, exhaling as she collided with him. instead of holding her in a clinch against him, however, vex found herself spinning, the wall of the makeshift tavern, feeling the cool wall through her very light armor.
finding herself with her nose practically against the wall was infuriating to say the least. with her arm was wrenched behind her back, vex tried to struggle, to make it difficult for the elf to maintain his hold on her, but she knew it was useless. allimir was too strong for her to break free of the grip until he'd had his fun.
sure enough, she felt his breath against her ear, immediately freezing. his mocking laughter only made her angrier, an unnoticed eyeroll showing what she thought of his whispered words. she struggled again, but to no avail, and she let out a growl. she turned her head towards him, not caring if by some luck she managed to smash his nose in. the thought brought a smile to her face, though malice still shone in her eyes when she turned to look at him, flicking her hair out of her face.
"you're still here, aren't you? i'd think that indicates you find it attractive." her voice was low and even, an effort considering how much she wanted to hit allimir again. of course, vex didn't like being thought of as 'easily manoeuvred', but in this one circumstance, she could admit she had been duped. and with only a simple trick. lucky for vex, she had a few of them herself.
still stuck in the pin, vex still wasn't able to move as freely as she would have liked, but it would be enough. slowly she leaned back, her head still turned to the side where allimir's head had been only moments before. she could only just see him out of the corner of her eye, but knowing he was there and close was enough. "let me go." she told him, all traces of her anger and ego gone. vex wasn't begging, but she was telling him to do so with as much authority she had under the circumstances. "let me go, and i won't hit you too hard when i get out of this." she smiled at him then, well, more in his general direction, rather innocently. of course, vex didn't expect him to release her so soon after just he had just begun to have fun, but it was worth a shot.
a few moments after she had spoken, vex began to move. she lowered herself as much as she could, at the same time, stepping outside and around allimir's right side with her foot. she turned her hips, using her free hand to grab hold of allimir's wrist, at the same time kicking his shin. it wouldn't hurt too much, though vex did wish she had put more power into it after it was done. wrenching her arm free of his grip after a moment's struggle, vex turned towards him, panting not so gently. she'd been taught, when training with her fellow thieves, that the next step was to throw the opponent to the ground and pin them there in return, but she wasn't so sure she could do that. not only was she worried about allimir's weight and her ability to lift him, she didn't think her weight would be enough to hold him on the ground long enough for it to be worth it. after a mere millisecond of weighing her other options, vex threw a wild punch at his face, aiming roughly for the spot his fist had connected with her jaw earlier. at least now they'd have matching bruises. ALLIMIR/SIX | 986 | i've never actually been in a fight, so I took some liberties. xDD
