I see the sky's still blue. It was early in the morning hours, a thin fog spread out over the region visible by the first rays of the morning light. A cool breeze blew gently from time to time making the crisp air seem cooler then what it truly was, to the Wood elf. Though she had grown up in the Mountain ranges, she had never really gotten use to the morning air, perhaps because she was always still half asleep and the idea of warm blankets still called to her.
But for now she was a little too busy to return to the warmth of a fire and the joy of sleeping just a few hours longer, there was coin to be made and hunting to be done. Today Sírhel was hunting elk, it was easy enough to find and so long as you aimed well, just as easy to kill.
Nocking an arrow, Sírhel kept her bow at the ready, slowly creeping along the forest undergrowth, she was hoping to find at least one of her prey close to the stream, or foraging for food nearby. Sírhel found a place where she could see both the stream and some of the surrounding bushes filled with edible berries.
She could hear the dull trickle of the stream somewhere to the right of her, chirping of birds far above her head, and something else. Tilting her head ever so slightly, the Bosmer strained her ears, trying to discern what the noise had been.
It sounded a little ways off, near the outcropping of rocks maybe. Easing the tension on the arrow from its nocked position, keeping the arrowhead pointed down. Sírhel left her hiding spot, grimacing when she broke a branch beneath her foot. Freezing, the Bosmer waited a while more, listening for any more movement. Certain that nothing had fled, Sírhel continued forward lightly skipping over to the rocks.
Siri gave her bow a quick once over to make sure there wouldn't be a problem with drawing the arrow, and satisfied she took a deep breath steadying herself.
Turning to see what may have been on the other side bow at the ready.

[/div][/div][atrb=style, width: 265px;][atrb=valign,top] over the year that she had been out on her own, the young nord girl had found herself becoming much better at handling a bow. though she had training when she was younger in the art of archery, she only ever had so much before she was taken on a tour to find her suitor. that was when it had all gone wrong and theana the unbroken had run away from her parents and her life of luxury. nothing could ever have prepared her for the life she was living now. a traveling huntress and merchant, she tried to get by one just her hunting skills alone, though it rarely worked. lately, theana had found herself trying to get out certain situations by talking her way out. most of the time it didn't wor too well, but on some odd occassions she found herself off scot free.
now, however, the small girl was more concerned about finding something to sell; having not slept in a warm bed in what seemed like years, she needed to find a large elk to take down. that would have for sure brought in some good gold for her to eat well and sleep well.
holding the bow in her hand, she crept along the stream, keeping down low and out of sight, just in case something spotted her. covering herself in mud, she masked her scent, knowing all too well the scent of an elk on it's guard. keeping the arrowhead downcast, she crept her way around the grove, trying to spot anything that she could take aim at.
it was then that the silver haired girl had spotted something. eyes widening, she lifted her bow and took aim, seeing the target seemingly move towards her. with her heart pounding in her chest, theana started to take slow and cautious steps toward her now intended target. there was no way she was letting ths one out of her sight - not this time. taking aim, she let out a deep breath and let the arrow go, hoping to hit something that could at least get her a room at a nearby inn for a night. I see the sky's still blue. She had expected to have seen just about anything, goat, hare, elk, wolf even. But when she rounded the corner, there was nothing. Not a single creature in sight. Brows furrowed in confusion, Sírhel lowered her bow, and removed the arrow. 'Could have sworn I had heard something'
Turning her gaze from the empty space before her, Sírhel looked across the glade, eyes searching for any animal that may have been the source of the sound. Coming up with nothing, she continued forward. Still mindful of not making too much noise, but not so concerned at staying hidden.
Sírhel was downwind, it slimmed the chance of any animal ahead of her from fleeing before she could take aim. The girl was making her way to the stream, hoping to find some tracks to follow, and since the ground there was softer, it would give her a better direction. The tracks she had found a while back had ended quite abruptly when the creature had hit the well traveled road, leaving her to wander aimlessly.
Though as she neared the stream, the Bosmer girl noticed too late, the figure in the mud, nothing more then a shadowy outline. Jumped backwards, away from the figure, in a panicked haste to put more distance between them. The action was induced mostly by shock, though terror ran through her system in a close second. Pain. The Bosmer blinked confused. Why would she feel pain? Looking herself over, opting to discover what was wrong, before focusing on the figure. 'Legs and ankle are perfectly fine, at least I didn't twist anything. Chest and hands are both okay, arms- oh... oh.. oh...'.
"Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Ow!" The mental thoughts, soon became vocalized as a stream oh 'oh's left her mouth, soon turning to 'ow' once her brain caught up with what just happened. The arrow had cut through the flesh of her arm. It had just skinned her, and would leave little to no damage. Dropping the her bow, her right hand went to hold the left, putting pressure on the bleeding wound.
The young girl grimaced slightly, from both the harsh sting and throbbing of her arm, and the fact that she just dropped her fathers' bow so carelessly. Eyes darting up in the direction of the other person, she tilted her head.
"Who is there?" She called out somewhat timidly,"I am afraid I may have ruined your shot. "

[/div][/div][atrb=style, width: 265px;][atrb=valign,top] the instant theana had let go of her arrow, she knew she had a clear shot of whatever it was she was aiming at. she could have sworn it was fox or maybe even a wolf - a small wolf. a new pelt to sell was exactly what she had needed to get herself a new pair of gloves; her old ones were worn down and began to form holes, so she had been saving up for a new pair. however, the moment she heard the arrow go past her target and into teh trees and bushes of the grove, theana simply stood still. she didn`t know why she froze - perhaps it was begause her target didn't spook or run away. every animal runs away once it's been shot at, but this one seemed to just stand there.
furrowing her eyebrows, she realized all too late just what exactly she had shot at. going wide eyed, she gasped as she heard the girl's voice come from the bush, "oh gods!" she called out before she ran towards the girl, "are you alright? did i hurt you badly?" she questioned as she saw the girls small frame - a frame the resembled her own. theana could see the bosmer holding her arm and theana gulped softly, "i am so sorry! i thought you were game." she stated, her voice filled with regret and worry.
this had been the first time the nordic girl had ever harmed something other than an elk or best; she had no intention of harming others and now that she had, she felt terrible. this girl was an innocent bystander and all that theana could do was stand here and apologize, "do you need me ot wrap it up for you?" I see the sky's still blue. "Are you alright?" At the sound of a feminine voice, Sirhel looked up from her arm to get a view of the one who spoke, "Did I hurt you badly?"
The Bosmer gave a small shake of her head. "I am perfectly fine, it is just a scratch. It will heal in no time at all." At least, she figured it wouldn't be anything to be so concerned about. It didn't seem like an injury to be so concerned about.
"I am so sorry! I thought you were game."
This time the Wood Elf ducked her head, "Whatever game there may have been is now gone, I too thought there was some form of game near. I can only assume Hircine may be playing some game with us."
"Do you need me to wrap it up for you?"
She dropped her hand from her arm, and slung her pack around so that she could shift through it. Pulling out a water pouch and an old shirt, the elf smiled at the, what she presumed to be, Nord female. So far the girl seemed quite pleasant, and kind-hearted. "Do not trouble yourself," Sirhel answered the female across from her, "It is nothing more then a scratch I am sure. I can take care of it."
From there, she wet the old piece of cloth and cleaned her skin of any blood, afterward she picked a side of the damp material that was mostly clean, and held it to the scratch until the bleeding had stopped completely. She had always had trouble with smaller wounds bleeding more then they should.
"It was not my intention to get in the way, I did not really see you. It seems you are very good at hiding yourself." The elf offered, in a change of topic, hoping that maybe the two could converse just a little while longer. "I am Sirhel Faradrim, if you would like to know, I am happy to meet you."
