Sírhel Faradrim.
Sírhel Faradrim . Siri/'Rhel/whatever. 24; Born on the sixth of First Seed. Bosmer . Explorer/Hunter . Neutral N/A Heterosexual. | [atrb=border,0,true] -Family; Cúon - Father Nímirien - Mother Mírien - Younger sister Úllothiel - Older sister Medlindir - Older Brother -Hobbies; Bow. Like most Bosmer she is adept at the skill of archery. It was one of the things learned early on in her family. And one of the most common past times. Exploring. Siri enjoys the wonders nature has to offer, and will commonly venture out to find new things to marvel, from dawn till dusk. As a young child, she would spend several days out in the wilderness alone, for she would wander away and be unable to find her way back. Learning. Ever since she could remember, Sírhel would pester anyone near her, asking questions and trying to gain every bit of information she could. As she grew older she knew to not be so persistent, but now learns from watching others. She has an interest in most aspects of life, tending to horses, alchemy, languages, even magic though she has never tried to use magic herself. -Traits; Advantages; Climber - Soon after learning to walk this became one of her daily activities. And with her skills in maneuvering over,up, and around objects, she can explore more ground, quicker and faster, then those who would have to climb over something, or find a path around. She sees paths that others would not commonly take. Observant - After discovering not everyone enjoys sharing their knowledge, maybe being pelted with dozens of questions has something to do with their displeasure, Sírhel has made of point of taking in everything she can see, taking notice of even the smallest detail. Appreciative - If helped in even the smallest of ways, Sírhel will rarely forget. She does her best to not take others helps for granted, and treasures each time someone gives her assistance. Commonly Siri will try and repay a kindness given to her. Inbetween:; Curious - At times having such a need to know things has helped her; Starting a fire, stars to look for when she is lost, soothing an animal, tending to a small wound, tracking animals, finding water. Though, there have been many times that her curious nature has earned her a few smacks to the head for all her endless questions, or maybe on a cities guards bad side when she pestered him about what his job was like. Once she came across bandits, though at the time she did not know them to be so, and was robbed of her coin, after going up to investigate their presence in the ruins. Graceful Klutz - There are times where Sírhel is capable of fluid, light, and awe worthy movements. Those moments typically happen if she is alone, or in her element of traversing through cluttered terrain. But, she can be quite the clumsy Bosmer, if in a crowd trying to push her way through masses of people, or if she attempts to show off. Typically fate does not appreciate her flaunting her acrobatic talents. Drawbacks: Direction - Sírhel has no sense of direction what-so-ever. Some say that she does not explore by choice, but because she can not find her way back. There have been many times that she will travel a good ways down a path, only to realize that she had went in the complete opposite direction. Indecisive - In life, there are many occasions where decisions must be made in order to continue forward in ones life. Sírhel has trouble with this. There have been many days she takes time to stop and think if it was a good decision to leave her family and home. Most times she decides that was time to venture out, other times she considers going home, but knows she'd never get there. Compliant/Submissive - Sírhel can be quite submissive when faced with confrontations that make her uncomfortable. If trapped or brought into a vocal argument, she will try and do her best to exit the conversation while staying neutral. One on one arguments, if she does not see an end anytime soon, and it isn't something that is so necessary for her to defend, she may say whatever is needed to get out of the situation. If caught in an actual battle, with no hope of immediate escape, it is possible she will try submitting, in hopes to bide time until she can free herself. When ordered by a random stranger, if the demands are not so far fetched, it is likely she will comply. Quirks; -Sírhel is a restless being, she tends to pace or wander around erratically if there is nothing to keep her mind occupied. -If confined to a small area, where pacing is not an option, the Bosmer, is likely to take to day dreaming. -When traveling, it is quite common for her to be found taking a rest up in a tree. -Makes a point of making her food and water last as long as possible, choosing to nibble and sip on them sparingly. Overall; Sírhel is typically a happy, playful, and care-free adventurer. While she does take certain things seriously, Sírhel prefers to see the humorous things in life. In most cases she is very easygoing, having no problem with other peoples views on life. It is not common for her to hold a grudge or animosity against others. Most times she pretends that any negative event has never happened. She is more or less a trustworthy individual, having no need or want to betray others. Genuinely enjoying interactions with others, Siri does her best to help others or at least share some kindness. -Equipment; Things that usually can be found on her person are;
-Fighting; Sírhel doesn't typically chose to fight. If it can be avoided she will do so. If left with no other choice, she will fight opponents until she has a chance of escape. If one on one, she will maybe do as much as slicing at them with her dagger, before fleeing. Some may call it cowardly, and she is fine with that. To her it is survival. Because she doesn't live a life of constant fighting, she most commonly wears a pair of trousers, and a slightly loose tunic, with a worn pair of leather boots. -History; After so many generations it is unclear exactly why the Faradrim family left Valenwood, the tale having been lost overtime, but the story of their settling is more or less in tact. The Faradrim family had lived in Cyrodiil for several centuries, roaming the forests for years, living mostly off the land, though that was when they first arrived. Back then the Bosmer family had no last name, for it was not needed. It did not take many years, after the first members of the family settled in Cyrodiil, that they decided to aim for a more permanent home. They started with making a name for themselves. Since hunting was their specialty, they started there. And after several years of hard work, they became known as one of the more prominent traders in the Nibenay Valley, selling their goods, and even in some cases giving them away. By now the family had adapted the name 'Faradrim' to distinguish themselves from other Bosmer, and have taken to building homes in a remote part of the forest. From there, the family prospered for many years to come, but by the time Sírhel's father, Cúon, was born, the family was no longer an known name in Cyrodiil. Somewhere along the way, the families reputation dwindled and faded, to the point only travelers who commonly sought refuge from cold nights or foul weather knew of the goods, that the Bosmer family traded. Cúon himself was a restless elf, so when he saw that his own siblings would stay and tend to the failing home of their ancestors, he decided it was time that he moved on, and so he did. The elf started out wandering about Cyrodiil, offering his skills with a bow for those who needed it. So for a time he was a bodyguard for traveling merchants, a mercenary for those who needed bandits taken out, and a hunter, for when dangerous animals traveled to close to farms, or homes of those who could not protect themselves. Once though, he was paid to kill a 'thief' and so with bow and arrow, Cúon took out the target. It wasn't until guards showed up at his door, did the elf realize that he had killed a merchant, the one who hired him was a competitor of the now dead sales men. Panicked and shocked at such news, Sírhel's father fled the guards, evading his arrest. Cúon eventually made his way to the man who had him kill under false pretenses, and repaid the man by soiling his reputation. From there the Bosmer, left the city, taking up life of a sailor in order to bide his time until his arrest came. He spent two years at sea, before deciding it was time he started anew. The life at sea did not suit him, and he ached to see Valenwood, home of the Bosmer. It was there, in a small village by the sea, that he met Nímirien. In time the two fell in love, though Nímirien was ready for adventure herself, and convinced Cúon to take her to his families home. They charted a ship, and left the beautiful landscape of Valenwood, in favor of what would be a new experience for the less traveled Nímirien. At first it was peaceful, the newly married couple helped with rebuilding the family name. Falling into a simple daily routine. Though before the year was out, the past caught up with Cúon, and the man with a failed business, and a soiled name, turned him into the guards. Desperate to not be killed, or locked away for life Cúon bribed with coin he had saved over the years, and managed to get away with only a year locked away. When he was freed, he expected to come home to an empty house, and his siblings disowning him. That was only half true. Cúon's siblings sent him off on his way, and his wife left with him. The two settled in the Valus Mountains, it was their intentions, to travel for some time to come, but Nímirien soon became unable to travel due to discovering she was with child, and so opted to make their home before any children came along. --- Sírhel was the third child of four. First was Úllothiel, she was quite the pretty dark haired wood elf, delicate and graceful. Medlindir followed, he was well built and a master at archery like their father was, he had the darkest hair among the four, with a slight wave to it. Sírhel was a mix of her parents, with her mothers features and her fathers habits, though Sírhel's urges to wander started earlier then her fathers. Mírien was the last to come, and like her oldest sister was quite the delicate looking wood elf, she had little talent in the bow, but surpassed in the world of alchemy. As soon as Siri was capable of movement, she would explore the homestead, causing her parents grief when she would hide in a chest or wardrobe, or even make a mess of their belongings as she scrambled up and over anything she could reach. When she was a young child she found herself traversing the steep environment almost on a daily basis. It seemed impossible for her parents to keep the stubborn little Bosmer safe in their home. The little elf always found a way to escape the confines of the room she shared with her sisters. Due to her habits of escaping into the wild, her father took to training her in both archery, and what skills with a dagger he had picked up over his years of traveling. Above all she can recall him telling her that should she come across anyone who wanted to hurt her, 'run as fast as you can' to come back to him, and only use her weapons if she has no other choice. Though her lessons never seemed needed. Her explorations typically included nothing more then finding a vantage point to look out at the rest of the 'world' from. On occasion she would come across camps of travelers and watch from a distance, and thankfully the few times the travelers caught the curious wood elf, they allowed her to sit with them as they retold stories of their own adventures and travels. The young wood elf had strayed especially far from home, and found herself in some kind of Ruins. The sun was already starting its decent as she arrived, but Siri could not bring herself to notice, captivated by the ruins before her. Before the young Bosmer could even pick out a path to the entrance, she heard one of the strangest noises, the little elf attempted to hide, but the beast had already seen her. A large bear charged at her, Sírhel barely saw the beast before she managed to swing around to the opposite side of the tree and made a blind run from it. Eventually, the girl stopped running, and found herself in an area completely new to her. The bear had long since stopped chasing her, but she had not noticed. After that event, the wood elf had found no more trouble, and came across the city Cheydinhal some good time later. It was there that she was reunited with her family, her father had sent her mother and siblings to the city while he searched the wilderness. Since Siri's incident where she had lost her way, she took to venturing around the homes immediate area, rarely going further out, unless she was accompanied. It went on like that for many years, and only ended when she was in her teenage years, during those times she ventured out on her own and would typically find her way back. In her early years of adulthood, she and her siblings would venture out to the nearby city, and explore, one tending to visit the alchemist while one sister visited, the tailor most often, her brother would visit a different shop, almost every time they went. But Siri found the inn was one of her favorite places. On one of the trips to the Inn, she was invited to travel with a group of traders, making their way to Skyrim. Sírhel had agreed, and within the week, she left her family behind to venture out into the world. |
