Cynric and Cyrill Endell were very close growing up but had a falling out a few years back over Cynric’s increased interest in killing people. They were thieving partners as children, though Cynric was always the “more talented” of the two, he was really just more specialized. Cyrill has always been much better with words than his brother, and is much more of a con-man than a thief. Backstory wise they were born in poverty in High Rock. Their mother abandoned them and their father refused to stop attempting to be a bard even though he was quite possibly the worst bard in Tamriel. They became thieves and were awesome at it, Cyrill provided distraction, Cynric robbed them blind. When they discovered Cynric’s talent for breaking out of jail, Cyrill began taking offers and arranging jobs for him. It was Cyrill who first encouraged him to join the dark brotherhood.
It was not until they left Highrock for Skyrim after Cyrill arranged to break his brother out of jail after three years, that Cyrill began to take issue with the assassin jobs Cynric was taking. They have not spoken to each other in two years. What happened during these two years is completely up to you. I would like them to get back into contact with each other sometime. Either Cyrill gets recruited to the thieves guild or they are going after the same mark, or whatever. We imagine that Cyrill has continued thieving or scamming or whatever, but if you prefer he got out of the life and is settled with a kid and a wife or maybe he’s now a vampire lord or possibly joined the church of mara as priest.... whatever makes you happy then we’re okay with that too. Cynric is very flexible on plot.
I recommend Paul Wesley for a face claim. Why? Becasue he’s freaking hot, and I love Ian and Paul as brothers on TVD. Age wise, I’d guess twenty five, but I never specifically say which brother is older or younger, so if you wanted to make him older I wouldn’t object to that either. Or if they’re fraternal twins, whatever! I’m pretty easy going on plot and am in no way set in stone on anything except that they are awesome brothers who love each other but sometimes can’t stand the other because of one thing or another. Also, awesome thief-team, it would be so much fun!
