Are you sure about this?” Instantly a smirk showed on the lips of the Captain, standing so handsomely behind the helm of his ship. “Aye Pup.” Wesley watched his doubtful crew member glance from him and back toward the city looming in the distance, before he nodded and scuttled off. The newest member of their lot still had a lot to learn. Just a pup yet really. And he had a lot to learn about Captain Wesley Morel. Sure about this indeed. A chuckle came from the man’s lips, even as he smirked himself. And so he remained where he was, neatly maneuvering the sleek ship as they made their way closer and closer to port. When they were ready, he called out to his shipmate. “Hawk! The Helm if you will!” That being said, he relinquished his post there and swaggered down the steps onto the actual deck. Waving a hand toward the side, Wesley ordered the anchor to be dropped and braced himself for the jerk to bring the ship to a rest. Even so, the jerk caused him to propel forward slightly. Instantly he settled himself back once more and brushed off his shirt. “Captain? A plan?” With his fingers under his chin, Wesley inclined his head toward his first mate and oldest member of his crew, who had been with the ship just as long as he was. “We charm the pants off of her highness.”, he said cheerfully, before waving toward his men. He didn’t have to tell them their jobs. They’d pillaged enough coastal towns and ships to know their own places and roles. The next moment he turned back to his first mate. “Savvy?” With the smaller boat prepared for him to step onto and go the rest of the way, Wesley strode past where his sword was hanging in its place, hesitating a moment to take it. Instantly he slipped it into the sheath on his side, before he clambered into the smaller vessel, four of his men surrounding him. The Pup, Hawk, and one more of his crew had stayed behind to deal with the ship. Instead of sitting down, Wesley propped a boot up on the front of the boat that would take them the few hundred yards to the dock. He remained like that even as they cut through the water and ended up closer to the docks. It didn’t take them long to reach the docks. Wesley easily stepped onto the wooden planks and swaggered off. “Woah! Excuse me sir!” Wesley was stopped by the hand to his chest, coming from the side. Taken aback slightly, he shifted to the right and glanced at the Imperial that was doing the holding, a buddy to his left. “Aye?”, he asked with a raised brow. “I’d like to know your intentions for anchoring your ship here.” By that time, his motley crew was standing behind him. With an arrogant smile, Wesley shrugged. “We’re here with the intention of robbing the high queen.” The looks he got in disbelief only widened his smile while he watched the two Imperial men glance at each other. “Are you telling the truth?” “Of course he isn’t telling the truth!” “Well then why would he say it?” “Who would just come out and tell us that he’s robbing the high queen?” “Well what i-“ With a roll of his eyes, Wesley simply walked by the two men, who didn’t even seem to notice. Right. So here he was, on his way to rob the high queen. What a wonderful day! “SIR!” Wesley stopped and inclined his head back toward the Imperials that had come after him. “Excuse me sir, but you need to tell us what you’re really doing docking your ship here.” With a raised eyebrow, Wesley glanced at his first mate, who lifted his shoulder in a shrug, used to the ways of his Captain. “I tell you what I’m doing, and you don’t believe me.” “Yes…but…you can’t be really here to rob the high queen! Not after you told us...can you? Can he?" These men also had a lot to learn about Captain Wesley Morel. “Perhaps I told you what it was that I was doing just so that you thought it was so ridiculous of a notion that you completely cancelled it out in your mind and thought that I was crazy. You would then have completely dismissed all thought of what I just said and forget entirely that some stranger told you his intentions for the day. I could have hoped that by telling you outright, you wouldn’t have believed me and sent me on my merry way instead of…doing whatever it is you blokes do. Or perhaps I’m lying. Either way, you shouldn’t concern yourself with my wants, needs, or desires.” With that, he forcefully brought the man’s hand up and plunked a bag of coin within it. “Savvy?” He had so managed to confuse the two men that they were left still trying to digest his words as his band once again set off.
